The abandoned office

We were contacted by a nice lady who placed an order for several products for her workshop, at first everything seemed fine and the payment went through successfully after a few weeks when the package did not arrive the worries and questions began. Where is the package and what went wrong? The contact person does not answer her emails or the phone and their website is suddenly closed.
When she contacted us, she was already quite worried and hoped that we might be able to locate the package or try to figure out what went wrong.
After she sent us all the documents and the correspondence between them, we did a little detective work and found the address of the company she worked with, we contacted the building’s management and sent one of our people to sniff around a bit, unfortunately, the office was a mess and abandoned. At this point, we didn’t have much to do except deliver the bad news.

Check the boxes, check them GOOD

This supplier claimed to be the factory and manufacturer and said that he had a large quantity of goods ready for immediate shipment. They agreed that we would come to see the factory and the workshop. But instead of taking us to the factory, we were taken to this shady room and told that all the goods were there (of course this was not true, there were only about 800 units out of the 5000 promised). The idea in general is to convince the customer that he is a good supplier and that he has a large inventory so that the customer will rush to close a contract and pay them. Only then (in the best-case scenario) will the supplier contact the factory and submit a request to start producing the rest of the products. That is, a customer who is in a hurry and needs to meet a short schedule will not be able to receive the goods on time, and maybe even too late.

​״ A professional״ company promised our client a Warehouse full of equipment ready for delivery. we were more than happy to make the trip and get to know the new supplier. It was wise of the client to send us to check the stock and equipment. We saved him the embarrassment. All that was there was just a pile of promises rubbish and nothing more. We saved the client thousands of dollars that he could have lost. If our client had only relied on the photos that the vendor (fraudster) presented, the client would have believed that this was a serious company and signed the contract. In the best-case scenario he will receive one wooden surface immediately and the rest of the goods too slowly and too late. in the worst-case scenario, he will not receive the rest of the goods at all.
